Clare previously blasted her MAFS ex-husband, Jono Pitman, accusing him of having a 'bad temper.
But the
blonde star appears to have had a change of heart, judging by a lengthy
Instagram post she shared to Instagram on Friday. The
property management consultant puzzled fans when she gushed about the
man she once claimed was so 'bad tempered' that she suffered anxiety
whilst having Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) from a street attack
before meeting Jono.
'I've
had people CONSTANTLY asking me about this article since it was
published including a number of requests from the media,' she began
referring to a newspaper article that detailed an attack she suffered by
an unknown person which caused her PTSD.
'While
I would certainly like to shed some further light on the situation the
Executive Producers & 'Psychologists' placed Jono & myself in,
I'm under contract so I'm sorry I cannot give a detailed comment until
that contract ends - and by July luckily no one will care anymore.'
In
April, the reality TV couple, who met for the very first time at the
alter as part of the popular show's matchmaking plot, made headlines
after their nasty split aired for the first time.
While
other paired strangers managed to hit it off after walking down the
aisle, 32-year-old Clare and Jono, 28, were constantly embroiled in
drama.
From the very get go, Jono was portrayed as the villainous groom.
Outraged
fans vented their fury on social media as they watched Melbourne local
Clare emerge in her wedding dress prompting the footy-loving Jono to
mutter 'oh s**t,' and 'she's not what I ordered.'
'I will say however, that I have no hatred or bitter feelings whatsoever towards Jono,' Clare insisted in her heartfelt post.
'He's
a good person, just not the right person for me, as I wasn't for him.
We absolutely brought out the worst in each other, which is why in the
real world we would never have chosen to be together.'
The feeling wasn't mutual: Jono muttered 'oh shit,' and 'she's not what I ordered' upon seeing his bride
'That
said, if we had met in the real world we may have been mates as he's a
bloody crack up & outstanding car karaoke buddy! There was no
heartbreak. Just disappointment, frustration at our situation, plus
emotional & physical exhaustion paired with some quality editing.'
'I
have had milk last longer than that 'relationship', both Jono & I
have moved far beyond it. Now it's finished airing both in Aus & NZ,
we can both just get on with our lives. Thanks everyone for your
support during this adventure. NEXT CHAPTER!!!'
Jono
was previously forced to address rumours that he had cheated during
their honeymoon in the Northern Territory, which he adamantly denied.
In the end, the couple's explosive clashes resulted in him moving out and quickly moving on with an ex-love.
Clare made no secret of the fact that they were a bad match.
'He does have a temper. A bad temper. A definite temper,' Verrall told AAP in April.
'I've never been around a person who has had a bad temper or is particularly hot-headed.'
'I
was attacked on the street last year and I still have a little PTSD
from that, so having people yell and scream, even if it's not at me,
makes me incredibly anxious, so that wasn't great.'
She also shared her frustrations with what she described as his lack of independence.
'His mother does his laundry which didn't go down very well with me.'
During one particular Instagram rant, Clare accused the show's producers of heavy editing.
''I'm
looking forward to my contract being up in 3 months time so I can share
all that went on, rather than the highly edited versions that are shown
during the 'experiment'!
Luckily I had some of my closest friends & Dutchy (her dog) there for support,' Clare wrote on social media.'
