David Warner scores 85 on IPL return for Sunrisers Hyderabad

Australia batsman David Warner scored 85 in his Indian Premier League comeback, but could not prevent Sunrisers Hyderabad losing their opening match against Kolkata Knight Riders.

David Warner

The former Australia vice-captain scored 85 off 53 balls to steer Sun risers to a total of 181-3.
He put on 118 for the first wicket with England's Jonny Bairstow.
However, Andre Russell's stunning 49 off 19 balls led the hosts to victory.

Nitish Rana scored 68 at the top of the order for Kolkata, who lost to Sun risers in the final eliminator - and thus missed out on a place in the final - last year. Warner did not play in the 2018 edition of the 20-over franchise tournament after organizers barred him for his part in a ball-tampering scandal.

His one-year ban from international cricket ends later this month and the 32-year-old opener is expected to make Australia's World Cup squad and play in this summer's Ashes series in England.
During his ban, he has also played T20 franchise cricket in Canada, Bangladesh and the Caribbean, and grade cricket in Australia.

The most common question that curator Edward Bleiberg fields from visitors to the Brooklyn Museum's Egyptian art galleries is a straightforward but salient one: Why are the statues' noses broken?

Bleiberg, who oversees the museum's extensive holdings of Egyptian, Classical and ancient Near Eastern art, was surprised the first few times he heard this question. He had taken for granted that the sculptures were damaged; his training in Egyptology encouraged visualizing how a statue would look if it were still intact.
