Jose Mourinho explains why he made no substitutions in Manchester United loss to Juventus

Jose Mourinho says he had no options on the bench capable of changing the match in Manchester United’s favour as he made no substitutions in Tuesday’s Champions League loss to Juventus.

The Italian giants took the lead through Paulo Dybala in the first half and dominated the match throughout, with United coming closest when Paul Pogba hit the post from long range. Despite needing a goal, Mourinho did not introduce any new players and says he was hamstrung by his lack of attacking options, with teenager Tahith Chong the only winger he could call on.

Child rapists crimes were so horrific that a judge walked out of court to delay sentencing

A judge was left so shaken by a paedophile’s crimes that she walked out of court to delay sentencing and remove emotion from the punishment she will hand out.

Judge Leanne Clare watched footage of Jason Daron Mizner raping a two-year-old girl as part of her job to decide what jail term to hand down. However, after seeing the horrific footage she said: ‘I think it would be best to put some distance between the viewing of that tape and the delivery of the judgment so that it does not overwhelm the sentence.’

Meghan Markle rushed out of market by bodyguards over ‘security risk’

The Duchess of Sussex’s visit to a market to meet female entrepreneurs was curtailed due to concerns about security as large crowds turned out to greet her.

Meghan, who is expecting her first baby, was due to spend around 15 minutes meeting vendors who are part of the UN Women’s Markets for Change project. Hundreds of people packed into the square near the Suva Municipal Market and strained for a glimpse or a photo of the 37-year-old over barriers, while others whooped and sung.

But the duchess left the market early, after around seven minutes, with Kensington Palace suggesting the decision was taken due to ‘crowd management issues’. A royal aide said the market visit was an extension of an earlier engagement where the duchess heard about the Markets for Change project at a morning tea.
