Last Thursday, the I Bet songstress celebrated her son Future Jr.'s second birthday after a California court awarded joint-custody to her estranged ex-fiancé Future.
'I want for [my son] to be a gentleman. That's really important to me, you know, treat the woman right. I want for him to be a leader. I want for him to understand independence, especially being a man, you know, go out there and be tough and be a man that can be strong for your household one day,' Ciara told ABC 7 Chicago last week.

'I want to encourage him to do whatever he desires, because you know I was one of those kids that was very fortunate enough to have that opportunity in my household and that's how I found out I was going to be an entertainer. And I'm thankful for that support that I had, so I want to give my child the same opportunity.'
